What's new

How bad/good is Cody Williams?

That's how changing your shot works. You don't just jump into game speed reps
I remember a grad student's thesis in physiology years ago stating that it takes about six weeks to learn a new physical skill and double that if the person is unlearning an old skill and replacing it with the new skill. In the "unlearning" portion there were exagerated movements or feels given to wipe out the old stuff. So maybe by summer league maybe Cody can show this bad boy off.

Drafting a dude who averaged 11 ppg, has a super slow motor, and is super skinny just because his brother is good for OKC is the dumbest reason ever.
I mean, it was 11.9 points in just 28.4 minutes per game. He also fell dramatically from January 27th on, I think iirc, because he was hurt. Before that he averaged around 15ppg.

If I was Cody Williams, I would be posting videos every day of me in the lab.

Ugh. Exact opposite imo. Be Teddy. Walk softly but carry a big stick. Work your *** off all day every day…without any bs promotional social media to brag. You’re a ****ing no one. Being a workout warrior means jackshit. Just work your *** off and then let your play on the court speak for itself.

If he can be a rotation player in two years that will be a win.

The problem is he plays with no passion and if that reflects what he is as a person or how he feels about basketball then he’s doomed. This was his problem before getting drafted with the 10th pick and endangering this build in a serious way (since this is a pick that would’ve otherwise conveyed to OKC and not forced us to tank next year regardless of how this draft went) but whatever.

No, but he’s easy to include in a trade for salary matching purposes. Someone can easily think they can get more out of him - just like Agbaji.
Sure, but we can also just not extend him at that point.

I dont think its a good idea to decline his options. I mean we arent going anywhere right now, so may as well see if something happens in years 3-4 even if year 2 is same same.
