What's new

How bad/good is Cody Williams?

Exum is a decent player to look at for optimism. I think Exum was both a better player and showed to be a better prospect in his rookie year, but there's no doubt he was in over his head his rookie year. Exum had multiple major injuries cut down on his development time and likely led to him losing a step. But he was still eventually able to carve out a career by being passable on offense and a versatile on ball defender. I said this before the season and I still believe it. If Cody makes it in this league, it will look similar to a more wing version of current Exum.
I think most of Cody’s value will be as a superb tank commander.

It is what it is. JE was really adamant that a team that wants to tank should draft as risky as possible. You either hit, or you add to your tank. I don't think Cody was ever really a high potential prospect, but he was plenty risky and at least we added to future tanks.

He’ll end up doing nothing of note with the Jazz and won’t be re-signed. 10 years from now he’ll have carved out some kind of role on a different team. Think Dante Exum

i doubt it. Cody doesn't look like he enjoys playing basketball and he’s already rich.

I'll be absolutely shocked if he's still in the league in 5 years.
