What's new

How bad/good is Cody Williams?

One note on the YouTube videos. They recently posted shorts of his brother working out. So I'm not sure the channel is posting new clips, or ones they filmed last summer.

Cody costing people their jobs. It can't be any other pick. Key, Sens, Collier, and Flip are not great but above expectation for where they were drafted. Hendricks was injured and is tbd.

It's a bad enough whiff to cost people their jobs. It doesn't take a genius to see a slow, weak dude with pedestrian numbers and no motor and think that, at 10, there is more than a few prospects better than him. Even in a dog **** draft.

Would be thrilled if we can put him as an add-in in another trade (and it be treated as neutral or positive value to the other team).

Some may have lost their job over Cody, but @Ferguson_Mellochill deserves a new job as player agent for creating the Cody-Shai narrative.

On a serious note, it’s pretty wild to get fired for drafting a player after only one year. Not that they didn’t deserve it….but that must mean Cody is extremely bad in practices as well. Usually when rookies are bad their franchises will stand by them for at least a couple seasons. Like it was pretty clear that the Jazz still had internal belief in Exum. Not with Cody!

If he’s bad in practice, I wonder if it’s possible he could’ve taken a Flip-like tumble had we not grabbed him.

I mean is "tanking practices" a thing?

I need tanking experts to make an official statement on this.
