How do the Jazz get this thing back on track?

DL should coach and The Jazz should bring back Karl Malone.

Hear me out. First off, this is not too far off from what Pop did in 96. He brought in Dominique Wilkins - and if I remember correctly he was in his late 30's at the time and did not even play in the league the previous season. He then centered the offense around him. OK, Malone is 50 but he's probably in better shape now than Wilkins was in 96.

So now, The Jazz get to tank the season AND they get to draw fans to see Malone go the record for all time scoring leader.

I'd suggest bringing Stockton back as well - but, you know, that's a little crazy.

As a added benefit, David Stern would probably drop dead - thereby getting rid of him and Adam Silver, who will obviously throw himself on to Stern's coffin at the burial.

Wouldn't mind bringing in Rony Seikaly, too, just so we can see what that trio would have looked like.

Hope you find your sanity. I am not content rooting for a mediocre team (where the heck did you get that from, I wonder?) and would love to get a top 3 pick. My statement reflected the fact that some folks seem shocked at where we are headed (most likely 4th-9th worst record), which was quite foreseeable. Some seem to have seen the worst record early and anchored on this, thinking it to be our destiny. Rather, the team was destined to struggle early and improve over the course of the season as two things happen: (1) the youngs improve and (2) the schedule gets easier. Competing for worst record is and has always been highly unlikely (despite all the bad teams in the east which much play each other, as I've pointed out elsewhere). We'll be bad, not worst, in my opinion. We'll see, time will tell
So you're saying that the year San Antonio tanked for Duncan it worked out because they were clearly the worst team? Things wouldn't have played out differently if they hadn't sat Robinson and others? ... or should we learn a lesson from watching San Antonio make every move with their eye on an eventual championship yet again. That's the way I would like the Jazz to be run.

Remember when David Benoit was in the dunk contest? Maybe we could run set plays trying to get him open to re-create each of his dunks.

Burks and Harris for Gymmer and the right to swap picks. Decent tank move.

If you are talkin "Wings" then you gots to do shooting guards too...... I consider paul George, james harden, Dwayne wade, kobe Bryant, etc "wings"

I was going to fart all over his post but he kind of makes a point. Jabari is a forward, plain and simple. He might be able to guard some SFs or guard some PFs, but how the team approaches roster-building and its defensive system determines whether he's a perimeter 4 (I think his most likely/best scenario) or a large 3.

Granted, he gave Durant an extra "r" for some reason, didn't mention Dirk Nowitzki at all and I'm sure others that would qualify, but whatever. Positional discussion is commonly a bunch of whatever anyway.

Back to the thread topic...

Play Burke in the first three quarters only (he still needs his 30+ mins per game), but let him rest the entire 4th...we don't need his heroics/clutch play at the end of games. JL3 should play the entire fourth quarters.

Let Hayward play the entire 4th quarter of all games...make sure he takes as many shots in this quarter as possible, especially in the clutch. Make him the only ball handler as well, everything must go through Hayward in the 4th...This is an absolute must...

I think this will definitely get the tank back on track...
