How does this affect Hayward?

So are we bound to overpay now? If we had top 2 pick and either Wiggins or Parker I think that would have made very easy decision to let Hayward go if some idiots would have offered him 12+ mil/ year. Now I think we are stuck with Hayward. How depressing:(

Why would it have affected him? Hayward is the starting SG. Parker would be a stretch-4, no? I guess Wiggins could have stepped in at SF with Burks assuming the starting role at SG. Still, though, I think the Jazz would have wanted to have a great 3-man rotation at the wings. No effect at all.

It effects Hayward in the way that now we need as much talent as we can keep. If we had gotten wiggins or Jabari then Hayward was more expendable and their talent made up for his lost.

As scorpjazz noted, the intent has always been to keep Hayward. I don't think the price point moves up or down significantly in terms of what they'd offer or what they'd be willing to match.
Now Hayward's effectiveness? Yes, definitely could have been helped by having a guy like Parker as the #1 scorer. Still think we'll see a starting SF arrive via trade or free agency.
