Howard Interested in GSW?

It's funny how often Jazz fans repeat this, in spite of the fact that their current ownership has been in place for less than 2 years. I suppose Jazz fans would think GS management would be doing a good job if they had held on to Ellis, missed the playoffs by a few games, and lost their pick to us. Sure, great for Jazz fans, but it would have been pure stupidity on their part. Trading for Bogut and holding on to their pick was a great move by them, compared to sticking with a squad that was never going to be more than 7th or 8th seed at best. Their management got the best of us this year, like it or not. NBA fans should realize that what GS management did this year is just part of the game, and protecting your future interests by sacrificing a few wins in the present, is really nothing more than business as usual. The NBA is a dog eat dog business. You can stand around and complain that somebody else didn't play fair, or you can get in there and chew some ***. Nice guys finish last.

Possibly but still, the GSTankers can suck donkey balls.

Please reread the post that you were quoting. It says nothing about trading Howard for anything.

Please reread the post that you are asking him to reread. It says "get Ariza plus the 10th pick from NO."

Now, how exactly are the Jazz supposed to do that without trading?

Of course they have to do a trade but he never said trade Howard. Obviously we cannot trade Howard because he is a FA. Stop trying to nitpick.

Howard has little to no value IMO. He was not an efficient player last year and was injured quite a bit. He still can play, but the only way the Jazz would get a sign and trade deal is if they deal with a team who is over the cap, and any team over the cap still has a mid level exception and another smaller exception, but most likely Howard would play for the vet min which I think any team can use, so there is no motivation for a team to work out a sign and trade for a player like Howard.

As for whether or not I will miss him, not really. He did his job teaching toughness and technique at the small forward position, and now it's time for Hayward and Evans (please!!) to take over the spot.

And they are a disgraceful franchise with zero respect for the game who deserves the ****ty teams they have nearly EVERY season. If you like their losing model, go root for them. I've seen the empty seats in their arena, they could use the fans.

That would be interesting when Harp is announcing Jazz/Tankers games.

Howard would be delighted to get a contract from any NBA team. I don't see how this is news worthy, or how Howard thinks he is going to choose one of many suitors.

If there was actually news about the Jazz I would agree with you but to say the pickings are slim is an under statement.

I've found the draft trade rumors to be interesting. The Ariza + #10 thing is good enough to have spilled into this non-conversation, for instance.

Edit: Sorry if this comes off as abrasive. It's just that Howard got out-played by our DLer. I hope he does go to GS. That's 6-7 shot attempts that Curry/Thompson won't get.

Oh not at all, post here more. Just the trade stuff is just our guys spinning their wheels on what they would like to see based of another teams willingness to deal. Who knows if the Jazz are involved at all though.
