Re-sign him. Bring Udoh back. Dude is cheap, really ****ing good on d, knows our system, and can cover up these defensive concerns @Saint Cy of JFC has. Those two moves, organic growth with Brantley and Morgan, and using whatever else we have left of MLE and/ BAE to get the best defensive guys who can do a little bit of everything else (Shaq?) and we gotta hella squad.

Udoh is reeeally underrated IMO!!!
Love him since he played with Fenerbace in Europe.

I'm not 100% sold on this take, more like 80%.

Its been an ongoing flip/flop for me but I just think JH is really gettable and makes the team better.

There are definitely times I love watching Clarkson play, but overall I dislike him more than I like him. If he could learn one of the following three skills I'd be much more on his side: Passing, drawing fouls, or defense.

Also weary of him having a good season in a contract year.

I think one thing that’s underrated that we need to address is the backup 5. We sucked on d last year (hyperbole but we finished 13th iirc) and a large part of that is the matador behind Gobert.

We need to add one perimeter defender and one big... any more than that and we don't have playing time. We might draft one of the needs and use taxpayer MLE on the other... or you can sign a backup center for the minimum and get a lower tiered three and D guy like Shaq or Sterling Brown or Bazemore.

The big pivot move is if you want to take a swing and trade Mike.

If we can dump Ed and keep JC while signing Shaq/Dunn and Favs/Baynes I’m good to see what happens.

I feel like JC is a vital scoring punch off the bench. I think we need more defense and a better backup big. This solves most the riddle while giving us a lot of continuity going forward with only a couple additions that don’t know the system in the draft pick and Shaq or Dunn.

We can use the taxpayer MLE it is smaller at 5.7M and will not hard cap us. Puts us in the tax but that's okay... this is the year to pay the tax as the edge was taken off of it.

I want him back if its a good deal but I would be looking to move him. He doesnt help the team much. Exum would have been more useful in the playoffs this year.

Clarkson is the worst defender I have seen and doesnt even pretend to look to pass. He can be useful in times where we cant score and need a bucket but that isnt every game and its only for short periods. I would prefer a 6th man type player to involve other players and/or provide something else besides scoring.

Gioilord we need CJ just like I need to get laid 5 times a week. We were pretty mediocre before he came on. I love that he’s a gunner. He keeps us in ball games throughout the game, and Quin knows how to use him. It’s not like he finishes games or plays 35+ min a game. Who else is going to give that weak bench a scoring lift. Cy is a idiot. Hood can’t fill in for what CJ gives. He’s to inconsistent, a real mental midget and injury prone, no!! The jazz can’t count on hood even when healthy.
