What's new

I wish the media would STFU about the New York JEST already

That interference call was on the rookie corner (Kyle Wilson?), not Cromartie. The Cromartie interference call that REALLY hurt the Jets was the one on the 3rd and long deep pass with the Ravens held up against their own endzone late in the 4th. He did have one or two others but it was the rook that was their achilles heel more than anything...well that and their God awful passing game.

I still can't believe Dustin Keller had a WIDE open lane to get that first down but didn't even bother to try. He must not have realized it was 4th down which is just sad in any game let alone one of that magnitude. The same thing happened in the Chargers-Chiefs game right before the half. How can you be so oblivious is beyond me.

You're right about Wilson - thanks.

Keller was hit big time by Lewis on the previous play - I wonder if the bells were still ringing in his head when he coasted out of bounds.

Their defense is noteworthy, but holy crap, Mark Sanchez really sucks.

The buzz around NYC today amoung the delusional Jets fans is Schottenheimer's offense is too convoluted. I bet he gets the axe before Sanchez does. A shame really.

Usually I agree with you and I know we're both local to the scene here and I know the game's played on the field but I don't agree. I'm not saying Schott should be fired but it's his job to develop this kid, give him legit opportunities, and put him in good situations to succeed and he did none of that last night. What's Baltimore's strength? Their run defense. So what does Schott do? Call run after run. The Ravens secondary is so weak right now and yet Schott seemed almost stubborn in his refusal to call a strong amount of passing plays. I imagine some of that comes either directly or indirectly from Ryan as his ground and pound motto can't help but be heard I'm sure. Doesn't matter. He needs to call a much better game. For now, if I'm the Jets, I am patient and let the season play out and see where things go. Hell, when Holmes comes back, he'll make a HUGE difference as he's a legit #1 in this league. But if their point production doesn't get to about 21/game from about week seven on and the awfully predictable play-calling continues like this (run, run, run, punt....end of game, we need you to pass) like I expect it will, Schott needs to go and they need to get a legit offensive mind.

Cam Cameron's taken. Norv Turner's taken. Who's out there?

Cromartie had more bad plays than good ones. He had at least 2 or 3 penalties that resulted in automatic 1st downs.

My wife hit me when I woke up all three of my kids by yelling something to the effect of "You're a ****ing idiot!!!!!!!!!! You didn't get the first down with no one around you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the top of my lungs.

While I don't disagree with you, I think the larger problem is Jet fans are in denial about Mark Sanchez. I've watched this guy for over a year now and the fact is he's just not that good. Yeah, he'll get somewhat better - but his ceiling is no where near as high as people think.

Ryan is trying to re-create The Ravens circa 2000 where they had a defense that won the game and an offense that didn't lose the game (for most teams it's the other way around). The problem is to do that you don't just need an excellent defense - you need an all world defense. And an offense that doesn't make mistakes. Right now, he has neither.

Wow Giants fans everywhere should feel embarrassed, I should go back and sew hundreds of people in Jr. High I got worse and done worse then that.

Wonder if it was this Giants fan

All I hear is JEST this and JEST that. A worthless 9-7 team that lucked into a favorable schedule against a Colts team with nothing to play for last season only to be creamed by them several weeks later in a game that actually mattered for both teams. No more Thomas Jones, who was a beast for them. Overrated Rex Ryan who can't back up his smack talk against the Dolphins. Kris Jenkins, who is about the size of four littleb's. Dolphins don't need Jason taylor, Cameron Wake is a MONSTER.

Now I get to hear about Revis for the next few weeks. Yes, Darelle Revis, the man who got burned by Ted Ginn Jr. Speaking of that douche (Ginn), he burned the JEST special teams too. Hahahhaha.

But the BIGGEST reason why the JETS will fall way below expectations is Dirty Sanchez. He is already the most overrated QB in the NFL and certain to lead the NFL in interceptions this season if he plays at least 12 games. Too bad for the JEST that Favre didn't stay.

Best case scenario is 8-8 This season for the JEST. Guaransloanfelded.

Well I was wrong about this, but at least I can admit it when I'm wrong.

In related news, I give up on having high expectations for the Dolphins ever again.
