If anyone needs a BB fix and

Dr. Jones

In pursuit of #9

wants to see some potential future draftees in live action, UK is having their first live and full-speed scrimmage tonight at 5pm (MST). I will come back and post a link to the game as soon as I have it.

Those playing that would be possible Jazz players have an asterisk; (draft order per DX)

Anthony Davis (projected #1)
*Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (projected #8)
*Terrence Jones (projected #12) - Looking absolutely beastly, seriously
*Marquis Teague (projected #18)
Doron Lamb (projected early 2nd round)
Darius Miller (will go 2nd round, though not currently projected by DX)
Kyle Wiltjer (scouts are calling him an old school mix of Kevin McHale and Keith Van Horn .. 5 star player overshadowed by the rest of the class)

There are a couple other potential NBA players, but these are those to watch.

BYU is playing their scrimmage on BYUtv at 7:00 MST.

Their future PROs are

Maybe Demarcus Harrison
Maybe Brandon Davies

And nobody else has that kind of talent.

But it would be a basketball fix with a guaranteed good stream.

In other news Kentucky's team looks ridculously talented.

Fixed. BTW as a Ute fan, I have no ground to stand on basketball wise. Our best shot as a future Pro is Krysto if he gets fired in 4 years. :(

Jones and Davis are looking good. I would probably take Anthony Davis if we could and trade Kanter.

Agreed. A shame we got the 3rd pick in such a weak draft, but I guess Kanter could amount to a decent starter.

If Gilchrist wasn't wearing a wristband I wouldn't even know he was playing. Invisible on the floor.

God, just saw Gilchrist shoot. His shot has an ugliness to it that I haven't seen since Ronnie Brewer.

Thoughts so far

Jones looks like the next Derrick Williams.

Davis is super athletic and if his body fills out he could be dangerous, or he could just be the next Brandon Wright.

Gilchrist plays like he talks, nervous and tentative. His shot is uglier than sin. I don't know if it's fixable.

I'll post my thoughts later tonight when I'm back home .. glad at least one or two are watching.

Well, not much to add from me.

Jones will have a huge year. He'll be nearly impossible to guard. Cal thinks he's the best player in the nation and he may be right.

Kidd-Gilchrist has always been a player that doesn't stand out on the court, just works hard and puts up 20and 10. Have to remember that he's not only a freshman, but is one of the youngest members of his class. I know this was just a scrimmage, but his 21pts, 10rbs, 7asts, and 2stls provides a glimpse into how he goes about the game.

Teague will excel, but will take a couple of months .. I see him averaging about 7 assists beginning after Christmas.

Davis will be sick.

So kinda off topic, but thinking about future draft picks.....if the season is canceled, what happens to this years draft? Is there still a draft without an agreement in place? What would the order of the draft be?

If it stays the same as last year the jazz have a shot of getting 2 picks in the 10-12 range right? Which would be incredible with the stacked draft. Terrance Jones or Perry Jones and a PG?
