Anyone with ESPN insider - How does it say Stock would do in today's NBA? Looks like an interesting article.

...he certainly wouldn't lead the league in assists. He'd throw a perfect pass....and the hopper clowns would dribble between there legs 3 times and go one on one....negating the assist!

I'm gonna be honest. If I ever saw you, I'd probably punch you in your face. That is, if I hadn't already shanked you. But I found this quite amusing. Very even. Good job. For once.

...so what does that mean...."shanked" you? Never heard of that one. DOes it mean "capped?"

I found the range in this post pretty funny. +1

it said that he'd still be both assist/steals king & how nash has nothing on stock.
then it notes how paul's game has been evolved to a stockton-esque style.

He would be the Players Union Prez, and he wouldn't compromise.
The owners would take one look at his "gameface" and give in.
It would be better for the owners anyways because he would only ask for 45/55 in the owners favor.
The rest of the players would agree to it to his face, and complain about it when he isn't looking.

I'm pretty sure that's how it would go.

Stockton in his prime, in place of D Will 2 years ago, would have taken that team to the finals. He never really had that much firepower to work with. It would have been such a joy to watch. And he would have brought a more gritty defensive mindset to the team with his leadership, something D Will never managed to do.
