Is the best PG option sitting at the end of the bench?

Yeah, that guy no one wanted on their team so he had to go to the D-League is clearly our best option.

I think Tinsely could have gotten some burn in that Mavs game at about the start of the 4th, so Earl could get some rest. Then Earl could have came in fresh at about the 6 min mark and finished up the game for the win.

No one wanted him? Did you read the article? He was and is being endorsed by at least some in the league.

Then why did he go to the Dleague? Why did he sign with Utah to be a 3rd string PG (he wasn't even guaranteed to make the team when he signed)?

Not saying he sucks, or that he even would be a bad backup. But he isn't the answer to our PG problems. Our offense isn't good enough to have two subpar offensive PG's in Watson and Tinsley.

this. I wish you all could have been in my living room to hear me say this when it was happening. Harris had been a walking coma all game... bad idea to put him in to close it.

Kobe also thought we had something special in Hayward. End of story.

somebody is butt hurt. poor guy.

He went to the d-league so he could be seen again. Tinsley hadn't played any ball in a while once Indiana banished him from their team.

Just because no one signed him didn't mean he wasn't wanted. There is a pecking order when it comes to FAs and the guys in the d-league are usually the last ones to be considered. KOC had been talking to his agent for a while. So he probably offered him a partially guaranteed contract to come to camp. I might be "misremembering" but had Watson actually signed with the Jazz before Tinsley was offered a trading camp invite/contract.

It seems like the Jazz have been trying to trade Harris before this year so maybe that is why KOC brought in a veteran like Tinsley. Perhaps that is why Tinsley signed with Utah or perhaps they offered him the most money. Who knows? The problem is they can't find any takers for Harris due to how poorly h has played. So Tinsley is stuck as the third PG. I don't think it has to do with him not being able to handle the back up role.

How could Tinsley be any worse than Harris? I am sure that Tinsley can do better than 0-7 with a couple of assists. His game is much more in-line with how the Jazz want to play than Harris playing style.

I would love to see Harris get traded for a shooter. Watson/Tinsley/Burks can handle the PG position. Jazz could then sign a d-league guy if needed.

I have been touting Tinsley for a while. IMO, he should be getting on the court, as he's a way better leader/playmaker than Harris. Only attribute in Harris' favor is he's a more athletic defender than either Watson or Tinsley and doesn't wear down as quickly. 'Cause he's younger... I'd give each of them 16 minutes a game.

I can't see how Tinsley could be much worse. Worth a shot.

We don't know. Shouldn't we find out ? Look, the truth is the coaching staff sees, talks and watches these guys on a daily basis and i will defer to them. I'm sure they appreciate my politeness.
