But I'm not impressed by fast food and 7/11 jobs.
I have gotten about 15 professional offers throughout my career. I turned some of them down.
I don't have to accept whatever job offer comes my way. They have to impress me too.
It really depends on who you ask, tbh.

Maybe the stupid interviewer didn't need to make the interview so long. Most phone interviews are brief.

Yes, jobs have to impress me. I am a software engineer. I have skills that companies pay big for. I don't have to take the first offer that comes my way. Some companies don't think they have to pay much for an engineer. Some companies have given my offers that I laughed at. Some places just plain suck and I don't want to work for them.
A federal employee? Doing what?
Sounds like people that come talk to me. They ask me questions and when I tell them the answer they disagree with me. My response is usually along the lines of"If you know all the answeres than why are you here? There is the door. Next?" They shut up real fast.
