Exactly.I think based on on/off splits Vando might be the guy that we'd be somewhat shocked was hurting us more than he's helping us. The defensive splits are shocking on him.

Beasley too. Sexton too.KO is not one of our 3 best players. He’s not better than Conley/Lauri/Clarkson/Kessler right off the bat.

Lmao I went to check those splits for last 4 games and I have never seen anything like this.I think based on on/off splits Vando might be the guy that we'd be somewhat shocked was hurting us more than he's helping us. The defensive splits are shocking on him.
Also, Beasley not only fell off a cliff after his hot streak, he's still falling. I can see him there, far below, a tiny dot screaming "I can make my next shot!! I can make my next shot!"Lmao I went to check those splits for last 4 games and I have never seen anything like this.

Lauri hasnt played all that great in the 4 losses, but our ratings with him on the court are 122.6 (ORtg) and 113.0 (DRtg) and off are 98.0 (ORtg) and 149.0 (DRtg).
Its such a small sample that its badly skewed, but I think it does reveal that he has had a lot of gravity.
IDK... Doke is big and all but he's generally fairly lost on a basketball court. He's also prone to being cooked in space. I don't think the defense would be enough to offset the offensive loss. It’s a trade off we’d be much better defensively.
Malik may low key be our worst perimeter defender... its 100% eye test on my end but man he gets blown by a lot it seems. Also, Beasley not only fell off a cliff after his hot streak, he's still falling. Even if we had just not traded Bogey for a functional NBA player in KO we likely would have turned 4 close wins into losses. Only like 3 games out of 7th spot... it isn't just about Wemby... we still have options to trade our way up the lotto standings. The time to tank was from the very start. And just as I expected - getting rid off Conley would have taken us a long way towards the path to Wemby...
Let's see what we get if we sell. If we sold at the beginning of the season it would be a garbage return like the Bogey trade. The time to tank was from the very start. And just as I expected - getting rid off Conley and a few of the other vets would have taken us a long way towards the path to Wemby...
This whole underdog team winning was cute and all, but what did we really win? A bunch of meaningless games that noone will remember in 2 years... We need to lose and lose a ton. Like... YESTERDAY.
imo there is no full tank mode available with this coach. Even if the front office has every intention of forcing Hardy to try to only develop younger players. Or if they simply ask him to create versatility for long term success or some other line of ****, making them play in roles they are not fully engaged in or something. The only way this team is not in the play in tournament or better, is if they sell low on EVERYONE at the deadline that is older than 22.Tonight's game is a must lose if the tank can live. Bulls a team that needs to pass us and we need to be competitive to push the Nets or Sixers down the standings. Could end up folding a bit if they continue to suck.
You are not wrong, about parting out a couple of players if they are in fact any good, but that would be pseudo development to lessen the teams ability to play at a high level no matter who was raw and inserted into the winning line up, as opposed to just fielding a team of misfits that have no chance of developing any good habits and are only here to lose so they can be replaced by better drafted players or something. We don't need go into a full tank mode because there is more parity this year than ever before. We just need to part out a couple pieces while making an effort to rest goes with the excuse that we want some of the youngsters to gain experience.
Oh he's out tonight.I hear Lauri might be out tonight.
Also didn't look all that good last game. Maybe coming back down to earth (back to what he was prior to this 20ish game sample size this season)
2? How?If the Jazz committed to a tank they could possibly get two of the top 3 picks in the draft.
Has that ever happened before for any of the major sports?
