If you had given me the choice between bottom 4 but Lauri is still a mid player and Walker is a meh rookie and the opportunity we have now (assuming we land 8th or better)... I will take the situation we have.I know some wanted a more aggressive tank, but that is about as close to "best of both worlds" as you can get if they get to the 6th-7th worst record
Very interesting stretches coming up for both us an the Wolves. Could go either way for both teams. We're half a game back from only being above the Rockets and Spurs in the West. Wolves have put together a nice stretch and have a bit of a cushion. But not near enough to feel comfortable yet.I think there are only 4-5 wins on the schedule the rest of the year... depending on how we handle the JC/Lauri injuries.
I keep trying to temper my expectations with us and the wolves because every time it looks like things are about fall our way we see them go on an unexpected run. I look at the schedule and I see maybe 3 or 4 wins but we always seem to pull a few games out of our ***. Olynyk always seems to show up big in the games that would be important losses for us so once we start resting him a little bit then I think it will be the sign that we are in full on tank mode.I think there are only 4-5 wins on the schedule the rest of the year... depending on how we handle the JC/Lauri injuries.
Yeah I think our schedules is actually kinda tough… SA, Charlotte, OKC seem like pretty good chances to get wins… Orlando has been playing well… road game so it’s like a 50/50 game if Lauri is back. The. There will be an unexpected win or two at home. I think we end 8/9 but Indiana actually has a pretty easy schedule so there is a chance at 7. I think Bulls are cooked… that team is lifeless and just so uninspired.I keep trying to temper my expectations with us and the wolves because every time it looks like things are about fall our way we see them go on an unexpected run. Unless they have symptoms or some other issue they wouldn't be tested though. Back issue should legitimately buy 3-4 games absence from Lauri. Easy to tweak a back when you re-engage too early even if it feels pain free. With a limited or missing JC we likely don't have enough offense to win regularly. Last 2-3 games if you are eliminated you can shut guys down for the year without too much side eye. So there are 5-7 games where lauri likely doesn't play. We end up going 4-6 in games he does play and still come out with the 7th or 8th spot. I think we are in okay position without getting too nefarious. We should lock Lauri and Kessler in a small room with someone infected with Covid
Heck, I'll do it for $1K per game or even just a ham sandwhich per dayI will personally take it upon myself to help the tank. The Jazz need to sign me to a 10 day contract. I have no skills, am basically horrible at basketball but will fall on that grenade for that sweet $100,000 payday. I'm amazed at what a compassionate guy I am.
I think the CBA requites minimum salary be paid.Heck, I'll do it for $1K per game or even just a ham sandwhich per day
I won't tell.I think the CBA requites minimum salary be paid.
Being locked with a Covid positive person isn’t reason to be tested?Unless they have symptoms or some other issue they wouldn't be tested though.
Why can’t we do this?Abdominal...tanking. ROFL!!
