Jackpotting Around -Tony Jones Edition

I'm not really sure what to make of the Thompson Twins. I mean the tools are there. Amen is having a hell of a year but shoots 19% from 3... I guess if everyone else on the floor can shoot that helps. Ausar is shooting 31% but on0.6 attempts per game. it's kinda wild.

Bilal Coulibaly has regressed since his rookie year. I don't understand it. I thought he was gonna be the 2 guard version of Giannis. but his %'s have gotten worse every year and year 3 is the year guys generally pop a bit like what we are seeing with Keyonte if he can sustain.

This is where I probably lose you, but outside Wemby, there is probably 3 guys I am certain I would rather have over Hendricks at this point: Brandon Miller, Amen Thompson and Keyonte George. So if Taylor gets near his ceiling (and I think we have to give him through next season with the leg injury), then you might end up with the 5th best guy in the draft at #9. Taylor is shooting 43% from 3 this year on 2.1 attempts a game. He only takes 4.4 field goal attempts a game in 16 minutes a night. I also think he will be a fine defender in his prime. above average at the least. But look, more likely if healthy he will probably fall in the 8-12 best player in his draft range.

But yeah I mean, I don't disagree with your big picture assessment. Danny got a little greedy with what he wanted but it's nice the 2024 draft was awful. maybe the biggest casualty of Danny's indecision will be if we end up forfeiting the rights to our 2026 pick to OKC because Laurie, who should have been traded years ago, adds another 5-7 or so wins and we fall outside the top 8
Did you forget who Anthony Black and Cason Wallace are? Brandon Podz, Jaime Jaquez, Derek Lively, Tounami Camara and Jordan Walsh?

It would be a developmental success for Hendricks to be a top 15 player in the class
