What's new

Game Thread Jan 07, 2026 06:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Added to Calendar: 01-07-26

Keyonte directed the offense like an elite PG in the first half. Ace had multiple stellar plays on defense. Cody looks like a legit positive rotation player.

This team is coming together in the most awkward time to do it. If the Jazz wants to keep the pick the next 6 games are absolutely crucial. We'll see if tomorrow Lauri or Keyonte will take a much needed rest day.

- I hate watching unethical basketball. Once again: SGA is a great scorer, he doesn't need these BS and-ones where you expect the call every single time the ball has gone in the basket. Like it or not, that's gonna be his legacy when he retires one day. A free throw merchant, the most bubble wrapped player in NBA history. I'd hate it if I were him... I mean prime Harden was an amazing player too, but people mostly remember all the sad foul baiting. That's gonna happen to SGA.

- Keyonte, Svi, Nurk, Brice, Collier and Ace were 2/23 from the perimeter. I'm not even mad, that's amazing. Svi and Brice have been particularly atrocious lately. They're both shooting well under 30% from the outside in the last five games. It's hard to win when you simply can't make your wide open corner threes. Svi at least does some other stuff as well, but Sensabaugh is just a shooter. If he can't do that, he's not an NBA player.

- Lauri must hold an NBA record for "game winners" that turn out not to be game winners. Our crunch time defense is laughable (along with the rest of the D, of course).

- For a guy who does nothing but dribble and pass, Collier is pretty shaky at both of those things. You never relax when he has the ball.

- Never thought I'd say this, but I would've liked to see some more Cody. I mean Hendricks was so terrible, it couldn't have gone any worse.

- Flip has completely forgotten how to play basketball. He'd be in danger of falling out of the rotation if we didn't have like 4 legit NBA players on the roster as it is.

Proud of our guys it’s tough to win when they hired pied pipers for refs tonight. Haven’t seen such a badly officiated game in a long time. But hey the tank is still on.
I will say this, there were multiple times Key got fouled with no call and thought if that was SGA it would’ve been a foul. Thought the same when the ref took Key’s 3pt play away. There’s no doubt in my mind that if it had been the other way around Utah would’ve lost that challenge. Now I know how other teams felt playing against Carl alone back in the 90s. He got the same respect from refs lol.

By the way, so glad they took that three-point play away lol we needed that loss. A win against the thunder would’ve been devastating.

Hardy refused to play him & destroyed his confidence at the start of the season. He’s lost it ever since.
Brice has played every game this season but one. Brice has played at least 10 minutes in every game he has played expect 3.

If that is the kind of thing that makes you lose confidence in your shot, then you arent a NBA player.

Please try and be less stupid.

Doesn't matter, you can't chicken wing your elbow into someone's face just cuz you have both hands on ball
On the angle he was going to the rim, it was a totally natural place for that off elbow to be. And for him to “drive his elbow into Williams’ face” would normally require that George pulled his hand off the ball in order to be interpreted in that manner. Had SGA done it that way, the call would never have been reversed, no question about it.
