Jaren Jackson Jr. traded to the Jazz

I am curious where you guys think this trade ranks with other trades for the Jazz in the past 35 years. I am looking more at incoming players and not outgoing. DM and Rudy outgoing were obviously big trades.

It might be up there with the Jeff Hornacek trade maybe....assuming it works out. JJJ was a DPOY and an All Star.

Acquiring Lauri turned out to be a big trade too.

So if the starting lineup is what i think it will be as tony Jones reported the Jazz plan to keep Kessler, Keyonte is gonna handle the ball a lot. like a lot

boy from a passing/ball moving standpoint,

Keyonte 6.6 assists per
Ace 1.6 assists per
Laurie 2.2 assists per
JJJ 1.9 assists per
Kessler 3 assists per

so not just ball handling but moving the ball around. Hardy's offense is like anti-iso too
Keyonte is handling the ball a lot already. It's not like we traded anyone who handles it a lot to make the deal happened.

This year's pick even more important now. Great players on rookie deals are the holy grail
Yeah for two reasons actually. One is the obvious cap space, but the other is that none of the apron rules restrict your ability to sign players to their 2nd contracts. So if Ryan Smith is willing to pay up we are able to keep all the good ones.

Its a valid concern though as part of the offense humming has been Nurk's passing and we added a core piece who is an average or bad passer.... to a group with a deficit there.

Keyonte is Him. Dude is going to dominate the paint with the space JJJ/Lauri create.
I believe in Keyonte. I also believe he can actually up his defense if he just cares about it every possession (which he still doesnt, but cant blame him).

Offensively he is what you hope a #1 overall pick looks like in year 3. He also leads all players under 23 in PPG and APG, despite not having a massive usage.
