Melbourne beat Perth today in an upset. Melbourne was the team the Jazz pasted in preseason. Eric Griffin and Anthony Drmic lead Melbourne and Bryce Cotton and Terrico White were Perth's leading scorers. Cotton had seven points in a minute late. White was a high second round pick and played for the Idaho Stampede (Salt Lake Stars after the lockout.) He was drafted in the same draft as Favors, Haywood, Ekpe, Paul George. Stanton Kidd had 15 points in his 2nd Aussie game.

*Adelaide, not Melbourne.

I don't know how you worked Kidd in there, since he does play for Melbourne and didn't play yesterday.

Eric Griffin hasn't forgotten Utah either, he threw this one down back in November:

Kidd does play for another Aussie team and had a decent 2nd game there.

Don't get your hopes up about the NBL. I've watched several games (you can literally watch them all for free on twitch.tv) and they are all almost hard to watch games. A lot of sloppiness

Bryce Cotton is set to become an Australian citizen, and his partner just gave birth to a baby girl.

He loves it there. And they love the guy from everything I've seen. Of course he wanted the NBA, but he's done good for himself in Australia, a good living. 2nd in the league's most recent power rankings:

2. Bryce Cotton (Perth Wildcats)

Last week: 2

After watching Casper Ware take control at the start the fourth quarter, Cotton waited until the end to show why he's the greatest closer in this league, finishing off the Kings with his own flourish, as well as forcing the crucial turnover on Brad Newley.

His 39-point performance also featured four rebounds and two steals, two other underrated aspects of his game. He does this within the general scheme of their defence.
