What's new

**Jazz fanz realistic finals expectations? 10 years? 5 years?

You have a crappy attitude, Slapper. Just be grateful you have a team that consistently wins and occasionally puts a magic season together. Not to mention that the Jazz do it organically, so to speak, and don't try to buy the rings like the Nets or Knicks. Try coming from a state that doesn't even have a pro team like Nebraska and maybe you'll understand how lucky you are to have what you have. I'm 23 and never even been to an nba game for hell sakes!

To answer your lame *** question though, the Jazz will win it all this year.

so you are from nebraska. cool. your pic tho......... not cool

I don't have a bad attitude, I just expect a lot from my team because I know they have more in them. It's like being a top performing employee. If you hand in a half-assed report the management is going be upset because they expect more out of you. If your am idiot, they say little because they know there's not much more to extract. I grew up in SLC but have lived in Las Vegas for many years now where there is no professional team. Instead of feeling bad for myself for where I live, I follow the team to a few games per year and don't use my location for an excuse. Nobody is stopping you from attending a game. If you want something bad enough you find solutions and not the problems.

I don't really understand your question - you say the Jazz have done so badly in so many things but don't really provide solutions beyond "we should have an allstar SG".

My solutions are as followed. .
Improve our depth
Acquire 2 more outside shooters.
stop acquiring every PF or center that's available.

I never said appearing in the playoffs was contention. I, too, watched the teams from the 80's and 90's. They didn't contend every season. In many years they fell way short.

Good to know you watched. You may remember them going to the playoffs 20 years in a row. Many years they fell way short? Some years, yes. But they were back there and contending for 20 years.

Acquire 2 shooters : Pleiss, Lyles. (Yeah Lyles didn't show off during SL but in his charity game looked hot like hood. Jazz don't suck at scouting, history/recent history shows this.)
Improve depth: Pleiss/Neto/Booker/Ingles/Millsap

Simple addition:
GH getting 30 pt games when he decides to play hard.
+
Gobert not letting anything around the rim
+
Improvement from DFav
+
Return of AB
=
Championship.

I hope they sign another camp center just to make you mad.

Since they did what you just said and you're still complaining.

The return of Burks improves our shooting and depth. Jazz also brought on/kept O'Brien, Johnson, Ingles, Neto, Millsap.

The drafted Lyles, kept Cooley and Signed Whithey and Pleiss. 4 people when back up C was a glaring hole. Oh noes!!!

Yes, there were countless failures in the 1st round. And other years they did not win the division, despite having 2 of the best players of all time. By your measure in another post, they did not play up to their potential.

This Jazz team has. Did you note the record in the 2nd half of the season? They brought in a new coach. Installed a new offense and defense. Had a major shift in the lineup when Quin replaced 2 of the 5 players. Fought injuries to their 2 SG's and had to go with DLeaguers for a long stretch. I think we got everything and more from them last year.

Now Utah heads into this year with a much deeper team and players who are well-versed in Quin's systems. Yes, Utah is handicapped a bit by Exum's injury. Outside of SA, NO team has sustained excellence for the last 20+ years. Not even the storied franchises of LA and Boston. Please, if you can't see the special team that is developing or have one iota of patience for a rebuilding process, go slap yourself while watching the Lakers.

If our championship hopes relies on Hayward scoring 30 points a game...we should give up hope now.

I don't think he meant (or said) Hayward average 30 per game.

I took it to mean that Hayward has a handful of 30 pt games this season

Dude Karl was a stud no matter where he went. Would you hate if it was Jordan in a Wizards jersey, or LeBron in a Heat jersey? I hate the Lakers too, but I was rooting for him to get a ring. At least I don't have Boozer in my pic...

So in short, your a douchbag. Thanks for clearing that up.

FYI I never said jack **** about poor me living in Nebraska, I simply commented on how lucky you all are to have a team that's close to home. Wow, you drive five or six hours to go to a few games? Cool story bro. I lived about 15 hours from SLC and was a minor for the majority of my fandom. School and work and GF pretty much took my time and money, but according to your doofus logic, I just didn't want it bad enough. Give me a break.
