What's new

Jazz get james harden

Al Jefferson, #47 2012 2nd and golden states 2013 top-6 protected first round pick to OKC for perkins, harden and 2012 1st round pick

jazz get arguably the best player in this trade in harden and a 1st round pick this year but they have to take on perkins long contract and give up that likely lottery pick next year.

OKC is gonna have to trade somebody so might as well do it now. Okc get some low post scoring which they really need, get a 2nd round non guaranteed money draft pick plus a likely lottery pick next year

I think it benefits both teams guite a bit but is a little in favor of the jazz but if it wasnt KOC would never do it

Devin harris/ earl watson/ alec burks
James Harden/ alec burks/gordon hayward
Gordon hayward/Demarre Carrol
Millsap, favors, Kanter
Favors, kanter, perkins

damn after listing the new roster we got a logjam at C and not enough PT for burks unless he can learn to play the point.. gotta try to move perkins somewhere else in a 3team oor something. Oh well

Thoughts?

Serge Ibaka is overrated for his defense because of his blocks. However he is underrated for his offense because of Westbrook and Durant making shots. They don't need a low post scorer. Especially one who is bad at defense.

Why include the GS pick and Perkins. We should just trade for Harden and their 1st round pick if we are dreaming. I think if we are including GS pick and taking on Perkins I say we should be getting Durant as well, we might have to lose Raja though so I am on the fence about that part.

fantasy trades aren't welcome on jazzfanz. But, you kinda ask for a ****storm if you title your fantasy trade like that.

I love this trade. I have heard from a friend who is in the know that these talks have actually happened. OKC is really high on Al.

Only if they throw in Kevin Durant.

I mean, come on guys. We're giving up a lot. Al Jefferson is really good.

I would rather just wait til 2013 and offer him the max. At least that way if the Thunder match it, they are really limited with roster flexibility.

I would do this but they would be absolutely intoxicated to make that deal. With that being said, someone volunteer to get thire GM drunk and have him give a little ring ring to KOC

Harden isn't going anywhere. And there's no rush to trade Perkins if they're magically losing Harden.

They'll dump Perk to some team like the Kings and be on their way.

I would still be surprised if they end up paying Durant, Westbrook, and Harden all the max amount of money and keeping all 3 of them. Seems like Westbrook or Harden have to go in favor of keeping Ibaka and expanding front-court depth.

This is what I see as well.

I agree with you. The only problem I see is that Westbrook and Harden are a bigger face of the franchise then Ibaka. Their fanbase might go nuts if either is traded. Moving one is the right move but it is not an easy one.

Yeah I don't think he will get a max from anyone but probably around 12-14 a million for four years. But I'd probably offer him the 4 yr/14mill per. Thats 25% of the cap and the the jazz don't go over the cap much very often. And we are going to extend both Hayward and favors in 2013-14.
