Jazz Mini-Camp

Kobi Simmons I thought was solid his rookie year in Memphis... only 22... not sure if he was hurt or if he just sucks, but he didn't play.

seems like somewhat of a knucklehead, or at least i get that vibe without really knowing much about his personality. should've stayed in college. it's like most highschool mcd's all-americans thinks they deserve to be one and done even if they don't do anything to merit it.

Bruh they leave cuz they get money. Don't be a hater.

I actually kind of like Bebe, surprised he has to do one of these. Think he'd be absolutely fine as a 3rd string C.

I remember wanting to take a 2nd round shot on Newman as well.

Oh well, hope somebody stands out, talent from nowhere is always nice.

**** you talking bout? i'm not hating at all, he could've had a big sophomore and/or junior season and actually been drafted and making real nba money rather than bouncing around. if google is correct, between his 2 way contract with memphis and then being waived by cleveland, he's made maybe $300k? that's ok money, but not much after taxes and definitely not life-changing longterm. he also bought his mom a range rover on that salary for some dumb reason and is making alot less than he would've made as a likely first round pick after another season or 2 in college.

Interesting that Naz and Cavanaugh aren't participating. There are some former first round picks on this list that some scouting departments were very high on.

I just watched some college and gleague highlights of Patton.

If the foot is kind of healthy sign him now.

He would be fun to watch on the second unit with Joe ingles. He has great hands, quick instincts and a soft shooting touch. He gets up and down the floor fast. Has range out to 3pt line. Can dribble and pass off the dribble.

Please basketball gods or balanced universe let his foot be okay and let him sign a cheap multi year deal with the jazz. You owe us for Dante.

So you want him to lose out on a year of earnings? He isnt that good. He would have likely been in the same position if he stayed. Maybe he gets better and would become a first round pick, but maybe he doesnt.

He's a young athletic PG without a ton of skill. He was smart to get out early as possible and start earning.

And 300K in a year puts you in what, the top 5% of yearly earnings in America? That's life changing for a lot of people.

Plus dudes can make great money overseas. If he lands an NBA minimum deal this year that’s a **** ton of money. The stay in school crowd always puzzles me...

It's a cultural thing. Like, if someone stays in school, they're guaranteed a better career, rather than a worthless degree and a lot of wasted opportunity.
