What's new

Jazz @ Nuggets - 8:30pm MST 2/4 - ESPN

Huge win! I am not sure how they did it when Carmelo shot as many free throws as the entire Jazz team, but this was a big win. Loved the fire from all the players.

I've said before that when Deron sits and the Jazz win, it acts like a reset button for the team, but especially for Deron and it's a beautiful thing.

Jefferson was amazing tonight. He got lucky with some bad shots, but by and large he played under control and looked confident and IN control. He seemed to fit into the schemes while the Jazz started feeding him possessions on top of that. My gut tells me this is a turning point for him and the team.

Hey, word, we won. But let's look at the bright side. We can still go 10 - - 2 and hit that coveted 40 before 20 mark. Things are looking up, indeed, lady and gents. So 'grats, all.

-Deron back to "best-PG in the league" status. Just like last year's playoffs, best player on the court in Denver, and love when he went after JR. That's leadership right there.

-Big Al huge. Left-block blackhole basketball for awhile but he was converting - plus a nice slip and finish over Nene for a 3pt play.

-Season-high scoring for Raja - but most important was his rebounding. Great job by Raja and Watson coming back for long rebounds. Gotta gang-rebound this year and guards can makeup for some of Millsap's at-times lethargic play.

Great game for us, I was happy that we didn't have huge lulls in execution and didn't let Denver go on a big run at any time. We played hard from start to finish and it really looks like Utah has finally waken up from their pouty slumber. Let's hope this momentum carries over to the OKC game and then we're in business.

In other news, I predicted earlier that we would win, I'm awesome.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but when big Al is on his game Millsap disappears. I think we can better utilize both Al and Millsap with Al starting, and Millsap coming off the bench.

Nice points (as usual). I just wanted to emphasize how impressively strong some of Watson's and Bell's rebounds were. Straight up out-manned Nene on some of them.

First time all year Raja actually scored and got under the other team's skin. Loved how he ticked off JR and Melo. Melo should be fined for that cheap shot to Raja's head at the end. What a loser.

I actually got a little nervous after Smith got ejected. He was terrible tonight and it seemed like Bell almost did the Nuggets a favor.

I've come to eat crow and take back both of my earlier sarcastic comments about this game.
It was a great game, and a great win.
I enjoyed watching this one.
Maybe the Raja haters will start to like him just a little.

I liked how ESPN talked about how new this Jazz team is. So many new starters and bench players. Its gonna take a bit to get the plays and team gelling. Games like this make me love Big Al and he will be just fine in a Jazz uni.
