Jazz @ Nuggets AKA Get Back on Track Game

do you really think that young legs, a high-altitude home court, and athletic players can get out on fast breaks? (sarcasm)

I should not be watching this ******** at 5-6 AM every two-three days. I'd rather see Ricky Ledo put up 37 points Halftime in a Turkish League game, not ****ing my sleep patterns and daily life up for endless hayward hood iso's with mack dribbling the ball for 15 seconds.
It's been like 6 years here and you've probably never saw me. Quin's failures forced me to post more often.

problem is

0 inside threat...gobert has no offense game. 0 post moves, nothing.

teams know the scouting report on gobert. Now that Favors is out teams can just gameplay for our 1 dimensional offense.

Sorry, but that is BS. The problem is the ineffective offense. And the defense is not doing well either. There is PLENTY of talent on this team, yet the offense sets do not take advantage of the team's strengths. As we saw over the last two nights, when teams switch on the screens, these sets are largely ineffective. We need sets that create high percentage shots and allow players to get to the basket. We should be focusing on getting open shots from 3 and in the paint, while positioning our bigs to get offensive rebounds (D'Antoni clearly understands this). Instead, our sets get a large majority of shots from the mid range, which are % wise, the most ineffective.

Do our players want to run? Are they unhappy with Quin's offense? Are they too tired to care? How does the front office view the current situation? Is this physical exhaustion, a general malaise, or is it our scheme? Most importantly, is Quin doing enough with what he's got?

Quin's definitely not successful and he should be gone. I'm at a point where I'm about to believe Corbin was not that worse than Snyder. We killed Corbin because of his veteran affair. We were right but at least the jazz weren't looking like a newly formed D-League team when they hit the floor (quin's team have significantly more talent and depth also)

I'm in constant rage mode because we're going to waste our seed #4 chance when the western conf is crappier than ever, thanks to Quin's non existent plan.

Besides all this fiasco, we're also not hustling, not fully concentrated as well. You can't be a top 10 defensive team without a superstar if your offense only relies on stupid iso's. You have to be at least top 3 or top 5 and that's why chicago and denver are blowing us out. Not the injuries. We should be able to beat denver with this squad or chicago at home with jerian grant starting at pg.

Wow.
I just found out today that there was a game yesterday. First time i can remember that happening in forever. The injuries have sapped my enthusiasm by quite a bit i guess.

Jesus Christ, we're missing Hill and Favors. I'm starting to think if the team plane went down and everyone was dead, there would be fans on here bitching about why nobody showed up and why didn't DL keep a backup team ready in case of emergency.

Injuries suck, but for some reason, it kind of matters in how the team plays when you're missing two of your best players.

having a few guys out has most definitely become the norm for the team, and if we cant consistently win under our "normal" conditions, then what exactly are we to be optimistic about?

How about Dante developing an offensive game? If Hill was playing, Dante would probably still be getting about half or less the mpg he's been getting, so that Quin could continue to overplay Mack.

Still lots of season left, and if we can get even mostly healthy, there will be plenty to be optimistic about.

Meh im sick of moral victories.thats all weve had for years now. Its ok to expect more from your team that you invest your time and money into.

Yeah, I guess if you expect the team to play as if they are healthy when they are not, you're probably going to be disappointed. However, that's on you for having unrealistic expectations, not the team.

i expect the "depth" hype we were plugged on all summer to kick in and produce some wins, even with injuries. nothing unrealistic about that.

Honestly I wouldnt mind Quin being fired but I know it won't happen.

His calling card has been defense, but is it really hard to coach defense when you have Favors/Gobert together?

Fire him, or build a statue? Only the shadow knows!

Not surprised at all.

Among playoff teams jazz have the worst offense in terms of sets/diversity. Without any doubt.

At this point, excuses become dumb.
This team is an horrible offensive team thanks to Quin's lack of coaching and if you don't fight as an horrible offensive team, Denver beats you by 20.
Yes we have injuries
Refs and all that...
Let's not forget, the jazz are really bad. Hard to swallow but thats what it is.
George Hill come save us!

Lots of Quin hate in this thread.

Ok now I'm bored. When do we play again?
