I think he's right. Not the Durant/Westbrook thing necessarily, but this isn't the Knicks. The Lakers aren't going to disappear from the top for 40 years. The Lakers always cycle around. They'll definitely win multiple titles during his reign over you. Prepare yourself accordingly.

Haha...wow....should have guessed. He's probably a Yankees fan too...just to top it off. Your problem is bigger than I thought. I thought maybe we were just dealing with a Los Angeles transplant here or something.....but it's a man with a serious favorite sports teams related illness.

There's nothing worse than a Lakers/Cowboys/Yankees fan. Srsly the very worst people I have met fall into this category.

So I work in a very small office (2 people). And the other guy is going to retire in a year or two. Well I just found out that the guy tapped to replace him is a hard core Lakers fan. It will be just me and him, day after day after day for potentially the next 20+ years.

I already emailed my supervisor telling I will file a EEO complaint for a hostile workplace if this happens. He didn't find that funny but I was only kind of joking.

How do last that long without ending up behind bars?
