I may have heard the sports talk conversation you are talking about. It was between Monson and Checketts. The part your friend is missing (probably switched channels or something) is that they made it clear their conversation was pure speculation and not based on any insider info whatsoever. They said they'd be having similar conversations involving most Jazz players between now and the trade deadline. When I first tuned in I thought the same thing your friend did.

As far as I know, yes. 3rd year players can't be sent to dleague without consent.

Does a third year player have 2 or 3 years experience though? I mean I would say a rookie has zero years experience.

You mean incorrect. Players in the league 3 years or less can be assigned anytime. Players with more experience (like Burks) have to agree.

Even with Favors back, I think Having him at Centre and keeping Favors at the 4 makes us a lot better than Favors sliding to the 5. It also means we don't really have to play any differently when Gobert is off the court.
