Am I just a massive homer or are there just a lot of morons picking the Kings to finish as a playoff team and above the Jazz?

I see the Kings as a model dysfunctional franchise. I don't see Cousins the way his supporters do and I think the situation with him and George Karl is a time-bomb.

if I recall the Kings were coached by a guy with the last name of Malone. Who was getting results. Kings were one of the better teams if I recall. It looked like Cousins was figuring things out. The only glitch was their eccentric owner who clashed with the coach philosophy wise. Then cousins was sidelined three weeks with an injury. In those three weeks the Kings went into a complete nose dive. The owner used this as an excuse to fire Malone and hired Corbin. Once Malone left the team was a complete disaster and went on a huge losing streak which sent cousins over the edge and the team never recovered.

If the Kings win early Cousins and Karl could co-exist and flourish together and possibly make the playoffs. I will say I have a different view of Cousins then most on this board. Think if he had gone to just about any other team his career trajectory would be different in my opinion. Has potential to be the best in the league.

For some, her looks, talents, and abilities are worth the drama. But you know that by the end of the season she is going to be as functional and charming as a family fight just after a train wreck.

My advice: admire from a distance, and stick with younger prospects.

Thoughts from that thread I agree with and thought as much when the Exum injury happened.

the Exum injury. As soon as it happened I went uh oh. I think people are badly underestimating how much that may have damaged the Jazz. Burke is both terrible, and a terrible fit for the personality they established last year with Exum at the helm. And I'm mildly shocked they never did make a move over the summer for veteran reinforcements.

Exum was a huge part of the jazz's improvement in the second half. His defense was big for this team down the stretch. Burke is horrible and Neto is a rookie and no experience in the NBA. he will get torched by the likes of Westbrook Paul and others.

I'd like to think we are a playoff team this year, but I'm not putting my money on it.
 
The Kings were about a .500 team when Malone was coaching them and before Cousins got sick last year. Then the wheels fell off.

I regard Koufos as a quality back-up and McLemore as a bit of an underachiever. I'm skeptical of Rondo circa the last 4 years. His time with the Mavs last year was a disaster. Gay has average efficiency (110th in TS%), but isn't ideal as a high-usage player. Cousins loses focus. Not sure they have the athletes to defend for 48 minutes. Just not buying it.

uhh, pretty sure they were like 8-4 before Cousins got sick.

Looked it up, they where 9-6. And they had the hardest SOS during that stretch.

Who knows but if the Kings end up with a better record at the end of the year, what're you going to do?
