JAZZ vs. Magic - Orlando Pro Summer League - 1pm et 7/6/10

2 possessions earlier, Hayward passed up an open 3 to kick it to Jeffers (who obviously passed up the open 3 and stepped out of bounds), Corbin yelled at Hayward that that was his shot and the next time he was open he drained it to put the Jazz up 4 w/1 min left.

Impressive shooting from Hayward there down the stretch. Very composed. 78-73 Jazz, Final.

Ball game.

Koufos and Hayward were the best on the floor. Gaines managed the game fairly well. Had some turnovers in the second half, but still was solid. Played much more to his strengths.

Hayward the closer. Last 7 points of the game with the 3 and 4 of 4 from the line. That is exactly what I wanted to see. Played within himself the whole game and then was the go 2 guy when in mattered.

Koufos was also very impressive. 13 points 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Nice job

Another solid Hayward outing. Lead the Jazz with 14 pts, iced the game with a 3 with a minute to go and 4 clutch free throws. I would like to see him be a little more aggressive, but he's getting everyone involve. The AK comparison looks pretty accurate so far.

Boom Bitches had a great game. He looked aggressive, played good defense in the post and blocked 4 shots.

NBA.com boxscore has him at 4 blocks.

Lots of contests, too.

He needs more nastiness, especially on drives to the hoop. Force them to foul you and jam it on their asses anyway. That's what his mindset should be.

Didn't look at the box score there darkwing. But 4 is better than 3.

Evans also played pretty well. Still not at all sold on him but definitely better than his first game. He also had some blocks.

Jeremy Evans had a couple of really nice blocks as well. Plus there was a move to the hoop that was really explosive that he made. If he could just put on some weight through some weight training, he could be a beast I think.

-Hayward and Evans both played better than yesterday.

-Augustine + Koufos both looked good today. Koufos had some Doufos moments missing dunks and losing the ball, but at
least he finally made plays today as well.

-Please cut Rice today.

-Would have liked to see Harris play more.

-Gaines ran the club better today.

For those who watched the game, does Jeremy Evans move fast enough to be a SF? I know we have a logjam there but it sounds like he's doing pretty good in this game. Just watched the highlight on nba.com that shows a block by Evans, which was a pretty smart block as he focused on knocking the ball out of the player's hand rather than just going straight up with his arm.

Move fast enough, Yes. Have the handles and the ability to shoot the ball from out side of 5 feet. Hell no. He would have to develop any kind of shot to even have a chance of playing the 3 in the NBA.

6 turnovers isn't running anything well.

Did you watch the game?

Two were offensive fouls. I don't think either were. One was a pass to get into the offense that was lazy. Can't remember the other three, unfortunately. I was surprised to see 6 turnovers because of that.
