Jazz vs Suns - Tonight 7 PM MST

Jazz took more shots tonight than they did in any game last season.

The faster pace is real.

The eye test also backs that up, it's evident to see. The ball also zips around the offense like we haven't seen in years, especially with Ricky on the floor. The angles and passes that he sees are first class.

When they gave O'Neale a guaranteed deal it was pretty much a death sentence for Bolomboy. I think it's more O'Neale's job to lose than Bolomboy really has a chance at winning it. O'Neale has played really well himself, so I don't see him getting cut.

Uhh, not really. They just have Rubio and Neto healthy. If they cut Neto, it's just Rubio.

We all know how injury prone guys like Burks and Hood are too. I don't see how you cut O'Neale.

They were playing Mitchell at PG tonight. I think he's going to get some minutes there, especially if Exum's out. But we still don't know how serious his injury is. They also have Wolters, who is a serviceable back up.

Mitchell did a horrible job at PG tonight though.

Yeah, and it was rough sledding.

They only have Wolters for 45 days on the main roster.

Yah Mitchell wasn't great as the PG tonight but he does have some playmaking skills, we've seen them. I also think the 'chucker' in him can be reigned in a bit.

You said this about an hour ago:
You are right. I will work on not criticize our player. I just feel Jingles is the new player that has over hyped. He had a good shooting year that doesn't make him Curry.

I would like to see a starting lineup of Rubio, Burks, Hood, Favors, Gobert

With an Exum, Mitchell, Jingles, JJ, Edoh/Jerebeko coming in to back them up. Then minutes should be spread by how they look in that game.

Even with Dante out, I think Quin's biggest question mark this season is at the 4 spot, and whether or not to try and make the Favors thing work out, or to find a replacement. Not sure Bolomboy is going to be that answer, but after the last few games, I'm no longer sure he isn't.

You're the one who has been saying you don't know how Burks is going to get minutes with a full roster. Not sure how Dante being out suddenly means there is a hole.

I think it could go either way with Bolombuy/Royce, but I think Bolombuy makes more sense in the big picture.

The 4 is a question spot? Since when? The Jazz dont even have enough minutes at the 4 for players who deserve minutes.

Long term, yea, I agree. This year it's very solidified and Bolomboy isnt even a 4.

Exum being out doesnt create a hole, but it's no question Hood and Burks are very injury prone. It makes sense to fortify the wings more than it does the bigs. Exum was wing insurance as he can slide down and play the 2 and 3.

It's looking like this might be the Alec Burks redemption season. At least to the tune of 15 points a game.

You know damn well I'm talking long term. Neither Royce no Bolombuy is getting significant minutes this year.

Are you calling Bolomboy a center?

at least as of the first three games, if Bolomboy doesn't make the team, the pre-season is a huge joke in terms of giving guys a chance to show they deserve a spot. people keep singing O'Neale's praises, but he wasn't in the same stratosphere as Bolomboy tonight.

12 pts, 6 rebs, in 8 minutes. crazy. continuing to knock down the three - just as you want your 4 to be able to do. damn, you can't cut that guy if he keeps up this play.
