Jazzfanz Internet TV/radio show

I think it's a fun idea to try, sure. I have no skillz in doing any of that stuff though. Could use the chat room like they do on TWiT as well. I suppose we could go ghetto for now and get some people on Skype and record it short-term...

I'm not very popular here, but I actually had my own weekly podcast a few years ago on Webtalk Radio. In addition, I wrote copy for another podcast on that network. So, I know the nuts and bolts. If there is someone who wants to do it, I could help get it started.

The procedure was to record the shows on Skype with the G-Recorder program (very inexpensive) over which I would call my guests. I also used digital headphones / mike. I had a regular lead-in / promo (theme) and closing that Webtalk helped me develop. Every week I uploaded the program to their site. But there's no reason you need Webtalk to do this.

You could simply set up your own Jazzfanz network and just advertise the show through Jazzfanz. Think of the possibilities interviewing players, coaches not only on the Jazz but other teams, as well as media. I think it's a great idea and not that difficult to do. However, it is a lot of work and I wouldn't do it for no pay, but I'm sure there are people on the site who would and I'd be happy to help them get started.

Jason knows I have professional experience in journalism, so you can trust what I'm saying.

I'd love to be part of a Utah Jazz podcast, have some experience in radio from when I was living back in Spain.

This has potential. You and Thee Jazz fan could do a segment on trading Hayward. You make your case and pause every once in a while for TJF to call you an idiot.

Brilliant idea. Let the insanity of jazzfanz spread. Would gladly help.

I'd only listen if the conversations deteriorated into religious bashings, bad cops, naughty teachers, and foul language.

I listen to the salt city hoops radio show in podcast form. We could be as good or better than them easily. Also, the Utah Jazz podcast is terrible, but has followers. The key is we need to get guests that have a little bit of credibility. I am sure the bleacher report Jazz writers would do it, as would the nylon calculus writers and maybe even basketball insiders. We could probably even get someone from Sheridan hoops on eveyry now and then.

There is definitely room for a Jazz podcast, anything will be more bearable than lockes horrible production.
