Jefferson's injury a concern?

Sure it's an issue. But it's an issue for a 25 year old who played 76 games last year after recovering from it. Pretty acceptable risk, as LONG as you do your diligence with physicals and MRI's.

We, of course, should be concerned to an extend. However, as we know very well from our players' experiences, you cannot do anything about the injury fact. Injuries happen. Hopefully, past injuries will not have a big deal of impact on Al's game.

Also, by remembering the length and value of the contract the Bulls gave to Carlos, who has a worse injury history than Big Al, it can be understood that teams give much more importance to talent and they pay for talent.

Well what I was meaning is will he be the same player he was before the injury. His numbers were down last season.

His numbers were down because A. He played on a crappy team B. He played in a triangle offense which does not play to Al's position/strengths.

Once in Utah where plays are specifically run for him to score his numbers will jump up considerably.

His numbers could be down for a couple reasons

A) Rookie PG
B) New Coach - Different scheme (Rambis ran the Laker's triangle which he didn't flourish)
C) Injury recovery

Do we have any examples of guys who had similar injuries coming back and what kind of numbers they put up and for how many years compared to numbers prior to injury?
