What's new

Joey Graham

No STOP WITH THE GORTAT LOVE! He makes 7 mil a year for what the next 4 years? This has been discussed but Fes at 1-2 mil is a lot better than Gortat at 7 mil. Gortat is more mobile and maybe a little better offensively, besides that, there basically the same player

Gortat's stuck behind Howard, could probably start for some teams including the Jazz, and has always seemed hungry to play more.

As to Fes, for all his size, teams aren't actually banging down his door to sign him. He just doesn't know how to play basketball and doesn't care for it. Sure, sign him for 1-2M just for being big but as a 3rd string center who could come in as a backup when somebody's injured.

Sorry, Joey Graham, for stealing your thunder.

My theory is KOC thinks he can get by with Al/Sap/AK/Fes in the frontcourt until Memo gets back. That would also play into a strategy to try and get Fes more minutes which I know will make Minem very happy. But as presently constructed, they're one injury away from Jeffers being a rotation regular. My guess is they want an insurance policy for that possibility. But I don't think they're in a big rush to find that insurance policy. Graham just fits the mold.

Hmmm.... Graham, maybe 2 mil max, Granger 10.9 -14 mil per year for the next 4 years.

Where did that come from?

LeBron>Honzward+Graham together.

Back when we drafted D Will, there was a little talk about whom would be better between Graham and Granger here on Jazzfanz. Just a little clutter.

Graham is a more athletic version of Harp. That might be the reason the Jazz pursue him... I like his game. He is a tough competitor...
