Ace is going to have a ceiling unless he can figure out how to get a first step. Once he gets that he can start to think about handles. Right now his scoring is going to come from off ball movement. Loved his rebounding and defense, was pretty happy to see the passing. Seems like a smart player. Concerned about lack of first step bursting quickness.

Lots of folks happy with Cody… I thought he was pretty rough. Improved over last year but still pretty bad. Positive is that he was gotten better and stronger, but it’s not enough

Somewhat concerned about Collier irrespective of WCJ.

In the game last night WCJ played better than Collier. But neither played great. Collier played bad and WCJ played average.

Someone needs to do a story on JZ Zaher. That one doesn't make too much sense either.

We've heard these exact same complaints about Lauri a million times. I thought one of the main reasons for picking Ace was that he supposedly had the ability to "get his own shot", unlike Markkanen.

Well, if he's having trouble handling the ball and getting separation in the freaking summer league, it's not gonna get any easier when the real games start.

I don't put that on Ace, I put that on whatever scheme the Jazz were running. I assume their plans are more than to use him as a corner three guy, but that's pretty much what he was in the second half. It's up to the coaching staff to figure out how best to utilize and develop him. But, it's only one summer league game. My observations are limited to that, and I draw no conclusions from it other than I hope they get him more involved in upcoming games.
