Brice's scoring ability is pretty elite, and has a path to NBA minutes even if defense, passing, and handles are really atrocious.Anyone else feel like Brice is just blocking time from more talented players? Well when he isn’t hurt.
His scoring ability is definitely not elite.Brice's scoring ability is pretty elite, and has a path to NBA minutes even if defense, passing, and handles are really atrocious.
He's probably the rookie/sophomore I'm the least excited about, but given others on the roster I don't feel like he's "blocking" much

There's not going to be much competition. Cody smokes Brice. I wouldn't be shocked if Brice is a trade throw in at some point this season. We got at least 3 more rookies coming in next year. They will have to make decisions to cut (not literal, like trade away) some prospects before they are given a full opportunity.I could see some competition between Brice and Cody in the rotation at the 2/3 this year. But they've got all season to sort that out.
I typed something out but realized I just don't care enough about Brice to argue. He's not a good player, he can put the ball in the basket better than nearly anyone else left in the summer league (so not Keyonte), but he is just so bad at everything else right now. Wish him the best, he's still 20 and has gone through injuries the last couple yearsHis scoring ability is definitely not elite.
If he was an elite scorer he'd be an elite NBA player because that's what happens.I typed something out but realized I just don't care enough about Brice to argue. Yeah, I was writing an essay before about how elite was the wrong word relative to real NBA talent. He's a great scorer relative to GLeague/Summer League talent, which is why I don't think him playing is "blocking" anyone for summer league like the original comment I was responding to where I misused the word "elite"If he was an elite scorer he'd be an elite NBA player because that's what happens.
He's just so bad on D that he has no room to be a negative on offense and with his handle and nonchalant style he might be.The flow of last game was definitely better without Brice after his injury. He's a bit of a black hole once he gets the ball. In that sense I won't miss him but this is important development time. Hopefully he heals quickly and looks at a bunch of film on how to defend and pass in the meantime
We trying to lose thoughAt their current level I would rather have Juzang playing instead of Brice: he does not force anything, picks up his spots and plays much better on defense. Also, Juzang makes way, way less mistakes. Lets continue developing him.
Yeah, but there is a problem. To make sure that you receive a high pick you need to finish among the bottom 4 teams or so. And, historically, none of these teams had on their roster players like Lauri. Because having players of his caliber usually brings you into the 6-10th range. We can try to lose all we want but playing Lauri will give us extra 5-6 wins a year compared to other truly tanking teams. We trying to lose though
