I'm with him. I don't think asking Zuckerberg to add community notes to help prevent unnecessary loss of life is a bad thing. At the end of the day, the decision to comply with the White House's request and the manner in which they've decided to execute is on Meta and Zuckerberg. They're a private company after all.

It was more a general post than anything. I see it from Trump supporters and Kamala supporters. It’s super cult-like. It’s a shame what our politics have come to.

The ONLY trick Kamala has is to say something, and when her male opponent chimes in a bit to quickly, she talks over him with the line "I'm speaking!". If there are no hot mics then Trump can't chime in, and she can't fire off her girl boss "I'm speaking" that her campaign desperately wants.

Thing is that it's not really a debate. The Rapist doesn't debate he throws out vapid thoughts, lies and insults. Kamala would theoretically just need to stick to her talking points and let The Rapist bury himself. Problem is she obviously isn't at all comfortable with speaking off-script. Hard to believe we went from Weekend-At-Bernie's Biden to Kamalama-Ding-Dong to save democracy.

I see it differently.

Group A

30-35% of the country is part of a personality cult centered around Donald Trump and his personal interests. A man who is genuinely a weird ****ing dude. And they'll defend and post ad-naseum whatever the **** he and his sycophants in the media are saying this week with no regard for a consistent set of principles or an original thought of their own.

We even have a few here and they just post tweets all day on this sports message board and others too. I've seen them!

Group B

There is a subset of liberals who are democrat party hardliners who behave in a similar manner in regards to our guy, Joe Brandon and anything the Dems say is good by default. These blue MAGA types are annoying af, but by virtue of not being republicans they're automatically better. Additionally, they're not a huge group of people IMO.

An example, Why are they defending the draconian Brandon border policy when it's just an extension of the heavily criticized Trump admin border policy? If its bad when Trump was doing it, (which it was btw) then it's also bad when Biden doesn't do anything to alter course. Harris is running on Border Security as well, which is a reactionary stance that I don't agree with.

Group C

The rest of us, the vast majority of the board here, have thoughts, feelings, and principles of our own and we're here calling strikes and balls. Unfortunately due to Group A, who are out here inundating the board with horribly bad calls, we end up spending most of our time reacting to laughably bad takes.

I think most everyone acknowledges that both candidates aren't very good. Like most candidates in the past.

But trump bro. He is special in a really really bad way. Makes his opponent look better than they should look.

We'll see how she does in candid interviews in the next two weeks or so. I think calling her dumb and thinking she's going to be terrible in the debates is hopium. At the very least, it'll end in a draw, but most likely a win for Momala. She's not ****ing Hilary Clinton and it's not 2016 anymore. Kamala doesn't carry all that Clinton stink and she has multiple, effective lanes of attack that didn't exist 8 years ago. I think she can execute a game plan effectively enough.

She's vulnerable to somebody attacking her record as a prosecutor? Sure, but not from Donald Trump. lmao

Valid and effective criticisms of Kamala Harris come from the left.

FTR, I want her to be interviewed in a contentious manner. But, I assume the type of aggressive questioning and pressure I want placed on her are very different from yours.

From the perspective of the Harris campaign, they have the momentum and on their way to victory, It's in their best interest to minimize the amount of doors they open for attack to the opposition. It would be bad strategy to put themselves out there too much.

The rumor is that certified lefty Lester Holt is out of the running because he's an actual journalist and so they don't trust him not to sneak in a valid question that hasn't been approved by the campaign. Reportedly, Kamala Harris is pushing for Gail King. There is zero chance of Kamala being legitimately challenged on anything before the election.
