His team wasnt great. And yet the greatest player of all time could only go 30-52.
The proof is there. He never had a winning season without a top 50 of all time player at his side. That's not a knock. Just the truth.
One other fun fact. Phil called Pippen the best defender he's ever seen. He would put Pippen on the other team's best player in the 4th. You know how many Defensive Player of the Year Awards Pippen won? 0. MJ won one. And he wasn't even the best defender on his own team according to the best coach of all time. Perspective on the MJ idol worship...

Its also the truth that if you take the first 3 years away those stats are wrong, by a lot. Of course he wasnt as good early in his career as later. The reason he was favored in his chips was that he was the most dominate player in the league by a lot and no one including his opponents doubted he would win. Your only argument against him is that his rookie year, sophomore injured year and 3rd year where he was .500 and had arguable the greatest playoff game ever against a really good team the Celts that year. That playoffs is when Jordan became dominate and set out to win and never lost in the playoffs again, no other player can say that. Of course Pippen was a good player and others on his team. Every championship team ever has had multiple good players.
