SUMMARY:

He said they signed Josh Howard for 1 year (laughed, but admitted that was a slip on purpose). lol

He's seen him in physical therapy. Last year he played 18 games mostly because of Tendinitis. The Wizards said they think he came back too soon last year. KOC liked that (makes him seem eager to return rather than the Boozer method - implied).

He can score the basketball. Did some nice off-the-court stuff for the community of DC.

Now talking about training camp...

Gives credit to everybody on the team because they all came back in as good or better than they expected. They have a nice mix and they're going to need them all.

Talking about Josh Howard again, and the same applied for Tinsley, but they'll told them they'll need to compete for a spot but that there's an opportunity. There's a risk on both sides.

They'll see where Tinsley's at. They like to keep 3 point guards.

Memo, he's a person, too. Talked about how Memo never missed many games before. He's very happy for Memo to get back into shape and feeling good again.

The hosts asked about the character issues. He said he asked them all that. He said the Miller family has always stressed character. He implied that Tinsley and Howard have possibly been humbled by their experiences. If you make a mistake he says you ask, "what did you learn?" To him, it's more important that you learned from your mistakes and not focus on the fact that you made a mistake.

Says divvying up the minutes won't that be as big of a problem because how fast the games come at you during this shortened season. Said he knows this from experiencing the lockout from the 98-99 season.

Corbin: Says he's our coach and that they're thrilled to have him. Said they "screwed him" by trading away his best player. Says, if you watched him while they were bad toward the end of the year, it was impressive how he held the team together. He says it seems like they've taken the good from what's been established before and they'll add their own stuff. Execution is what's important in the new defensive implementations. Says some stuff will be new but execution will be the most important and not the changes.

Says that he thinks they'll be better than most but we still have to see.

Says no comment when they asked if it's the last we've seen of AK.

Says they'll continue look and tinker to help improve the team. Said the Millers have made a commitment to the fans to keep a competitive team on the court. The moves they've done demonstrate that.

Based on what KOC said, I get the feeling that there's a real positive outlook on the team. There's also a cautious yet positive outlook on these new signings. Seems they've really done their homework on these guys so we can relax somewhat.

I'm glad the Jazz are able to sign guys like Howard, even if he doesn't end up working out. It shows that players still respect the Jazz and see that there's a brighter outlook than teams like the Spurs, for example.
