I recall someone saying earlier that Burks was higher on the Jazz's draft board than Jimmer.

As already stated, KoC has been running his arse off between globe-trotting looking at players, working them out, and dealing with incessant Jimmer questions. No doubt he was flat wore out. As far as where players were ranked who were picked before us, it's irrelevant now. We got a guy we like in Burks who has demonstrated the skills to play both G positions, and has shown a great attitude and maturity for a young man not quite 20 years old.

KOC was being KOC in my mind and not showing too much emotion. Nothing more or less. I think inside though, he was probably thrilled with what he was able to do.

FWIW, Chad Ford had Burks ranked #10 and rising on ESPN's "big board", with Walker #9 and falling. Neither Klay Thompson, Biyombo, nor Jimmer made Ford's top 10...

I thought I heard on K-Fan that the jazz had Burks as the 6th rated player. Don't ask me for a link, but I could be wrong.
