What's new

KOC`s needs bodyguards.

Yes, I do. And the safe pick for KOC would have been Ed Davis, Aldrich, or Patterson. KOC stuck his neck out there with this pick in attempt to make the team as good as possible. It definitely took balls.

Exactly. The Jazz also worked out Ed Davis, Aldrich, and Patterson. If they liked Hayward over these guys, who are we as fans to tell them whom they should pick?

Almost every scouting reports says that the guy has no lateral quickness.

I think the Jazz are really allergic to players with good lateral quickness. Serves them really well in team defenses

Just spreading the word. Hayward thinks y'all hatas can put a cap in ya OWN ***, lol.

The ones who buy the tickets, merchandise, and go to the games
AND still will. Why do you all pretend to know anything about these players, yet you were at how many workouts? See what happens and continue buying gear, tickets and stuff. You know you will.

It really doesn't matter to me how many professional scouts (who Sloan claims do a "wonderful job") have, how much background investigation they have done, how many workouts the coaching staff have hosted, how many interviews they have conducted, or anything else. They CAN'T know anything I don't know. I have eyes, dammit.

Oh, and don't go forgettin a big mouth, too.

Haha I love the "were you at the workouts? Did you see them as much as they did?!" line. Nope and I also didn't pick Kosta, Almond, Humphries, Snyder, Borchardt, Lopez, DeShawn or Quincy Lewis either. And please retort with "well with were they were picking....". You really want everyone to then explain all the guys that went after these scrubs?

KOC can't draft.......thats not opinion, thats simple hard fact. So I wouldn't lean too hard on the "did you attend the workouts" bit.......it's not the sturdiest argument.

You act as if though every GM picks the best player everytime. Hardly ever do GM's make the right draft pick. There is usually someone better they could of gotten at a certain point.

As I've mentioned before, drafting players is a bit of a crap shoot. You watch film, work them out, interview and hope their game translates to the next level. I think there are only a few players every draft and sometimes only one where you feel like it's a sure thing. That's why I'm trying to be as positive as I can be about this. I admit that I do have a predisposition to doubt white players initially. I'm not sure how many others are willing to admit it. I will admit when I'm wrong though, and I really hope I am with Hayward because I really want him and the Jazz to succeed.
