My initial reaction was this guy got paid for this. Then I realized this was posted by fg.

Beat that cancer, Firegirl.

I said donovan shot poorly tonight and he did? So what? It happens? We'll have a better offseason and move on.

I appreciate the infatuation with me though

We are so incredibly lucky to have Donovan. He has to carry more offensive burden than any 22 year old should be asked too yet he never complains or points fingers at his teammates for missed shots or poor games. He always takes the blame when he has a bad game or misses a shot at the end of the game. Always carries himself with class. Great teammate and a great person off the court as well. Obviously we need to add more talent to the roster and it sucks that we're not going to make it out of the first round but the future is still very bright with Donovan leading our team.

Whilst Kyle's speech was great. The truth is that regardless of all of the missed layups and missed 3's, turnovers etc... there was an opportunity to tie or win the game.

That opportunity is the difference maker between good, great and legendary, especially when the spotlight is on and the moment counts.

I do hope Donovan takes that miss to heart and in the off season and focuses on working to improve his shot. For those who say he is young. That is true. However, he is also employed as a professional.

We can overlook the miss and future missed opportunities over the upcoming years. However, over time, each of those misses will add up. Let's not just hand him a participation ribbon and say there there. Although I'm not saying he should dwell on it. He does need to use it as fuel to keep improving if he truly wants to be one of the best in the league.

We need him to rise to the occasion if we want to have any chance in future.

You know people shoot their average, right? Like by definition, any single player shoots their average, in any given situation? You understand that?

This is amazing.

1. Korver is all class and he needs to be part of this organization once his playing days are over. He’s not just a great player - he seems to be a great human being. If any current player represents what the Jazz is all about, it’s Korver.

2. We are just so lucky to have Donovan. Championships are on the way. It will take a few more years, but they will happen. He is just so special. We hit the goddamn jackpot. Wow. Let’s make sure he retires as a jazzman.

3. The Jazz will win a championship in the very near future. And it’s going to be epic.

Yes. and there is also something called clutch scoring whereby statistically some players are better than others in clutch situations. If you are referring to that potentially tying shot.. it wasn't even close to going in.

It is clear Donovan needs to work on his shooting efficiency to increase his averages overall.. but also keep practicing for the clutch scenarios. Last season he was hampered by his injury. I am hoping that this season he can have more time to focus on improving in this area.

Enjoy the myth...

To me clutch is a measure of work ethic and repetition combined with player attributes and skill as well as dealing with nerves and preparedness. What makes the greats great are that they are able to maximize on their ability as well as put in the work and practice required to be great. It is not some magic that happens overnight.. But thank's for your insightful Exum like contribution.

One play does not make a game, the Jazz are just not as good as the Rockets are. They still won with their star shooting horribly. Korver is a class act all the way around. Just a good human being. He is right one shot didn't lose the game. I was proud of the effort from the Jazz but until they get more guys who can make their own offense then they will continue to struggle in the playoffs. DM could have shot better but he also needs help. I am just so glad the Jazz have DM. The kid is awesome both on and off the court.
