Jazz Supporting Cast Struggles

Despite the two big performances from Conley and Mitchell, Utah didn’t get much help from the others in the big moments. Rudy Gobert finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds but shot 3 of 8 from the floor and 5 for 11 at the free throw line. Joe Ingles and Royce O’Neale combined for 10 points on 2 of 8 shooting.

Jordan Clarkson shot the ball 14 times but made just 5 field goals, including one three-pointer in six tries. He finished with 11 points. Georges Niang had a good first half but recorded 10 points, missing two open three-pointers in the fourth quarter.

Nikola Jokic added 22 points for the Nuggets but that is expected. Jerami Grant’s performance was big for the Nuggets, posting 18 points and knocked down 4 of 7 from downtown.

Couldn’t Get Stop In Fourth Quarter

During the midway point of the fourth quarter, their was a three-minute stretch where the Nuggets went on a 16-6 run. Murray was a big part of that run.

Down the stretch, Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley both made three-pointers but Utah couldn’t stop Murray as he would answer time and time again.

Mitchell scored 17 points in the fourth but Murray dropped 21 points in the final period.

The @UtahJazz trail the Denver Nuggets 88-79 heading into the fourth quarter.

Bad close to the quarter, and the Jazz bench is struggling.

Jordan Clarkons is -20, Georges Niang is -17. Tough minutes from the second unit. #TakeNote pic.twitter.com/LgcGooRxyr

I've never seen this level of frustration from Donovan. We will get a Game 7 on Tuesday. pic.twitter.com/Yba6PyBymc
