SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell knocked down a pair of three-point field goals on back-to-back possessions during the second quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Blazers hosted the Jazz at the Moda Center on Wednesday, December 23.

With 2:25 left in the second quarter, Mitchell knocked down a 26-foot triple on an assist from Joe Ingles.
Ingles stole Portland’s following possession and fed Mitchell the ball.
The fourth-year guard buried another shot from downtown, this time from 28-feet out.
Mitchell’s buckets gave Utah a 60-40 advantage with 2:01 remaining in the first half.
The 2019-20 NBA All-Star scored 12 of his 15 points during the second quarter. Mitchell shot 5-11 overall and 3-6 from downtown. He added two rebounds and two assists.
Mitchell had a plus-14 rating during his first 16 minutes on the court.
Utah went into the halftime break with a 65-44 lead.
Utah made 13 three-pointers in the first half. That mark tied a franchise record.
Former Weber State and current Blazers guard Damian Lillard was held scoreless in the first 24 minutes of action.
