SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul told the Players’ Tribune podcast that he is planning on making a documentary about the day that sports shutdown because of the coronavirus.

Paul joined NBA standouts Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles on the “Knuckleheads” podcast.
CP3 and the Oklahoma City Thunder were set to face the Utah Jazz on March 11 when the game was postponed just before tip-off because Rudy Gobert tested posted for COVID-19. That was the beginning of sports shutting down due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“It was crazy, man,” Paul said. “I’m doing a documentary about it … like a movie about the sports stop with Antoine Fuqua and Brian Grazer. We doing a whole thing about that, like getting perspectives from athletes of what happened.
“Man, listen, I ain’t never seen nothing like it. Never seen nothing like it. And you know, we can talk about all the different stuff I’ve been through. I’ve been through the Knicks trade, Hurricane Katrina, (Donald) Sterling stuff. All that, and then, boom. ‘You said come back to the locker room? What’s going on, what’s happening? When you starting the game?’ Like that, that right there, that was different.”

Antoine Fuqua has directed 15 movies or TV documentaries including Training Day, King Arthur, Brooklyn’s Finest, Southpaw, the Magnificent Seven and TV documentary American Dream/American Knightmare.
Brian Grazer has been a producer since 1982 and has been a part of many movies including Apollo 13, Liar Liar, Friday Night Lights, Robin Hood and many others.
Paul did not reveal when the documentary would be released and where fans can watch it.
