There have been 2 recent Nina Simone tribute albums - the higher profile one was Nina Revisited, and included tracks from her daughter Lisa Simone as well as Lauryn Hill, but the one I preferred was Pour Une Ame Souveraine by Meshelle N'dgeocello. She has lots of guest stars, including Sinead, but one of the things I like best is that she made a conscious effort to make sure some of the tracks were penned by Nina, so the estate would make money from them.
