Well he was given a chance IIRC. I think he had a tryout or something with the Celtics...

The last stop in his playing career was in China and he tore his knee up and that was it... I believe he's coaching in HS somewhere right now...

The Lenny Cooke documentary is something i'd say that everyone should see... Definitely a personal favorite sports story of mine.. It's a cautionary tale..
