Baseball is tough to quantify; more than any other sport there is that "game within the game".

Absolutely. I'm fine with other people not liking baseball, but it seems like their disdain usually stems from the same things that I find most fascinating about it. They say it's too slow, but I see as much or more action than in football. It's just not guys hitting each other, so maybe it doesn't look like "action" to them. There is a lot of strategy, and rules sometimes change depending on the circumstances. Baseball is very cerebral, especially tight games in the late innings.

Personally, I'd rather watch a 1-0 game between the Marlins and Astros than a 1-0 match between Man-U and Real Madrid.

1) I feel about soccer the way that Bronco70 does about baseball. Familiarity breeds passion.
2) You're dumb.

I love baseball, ditto to what Bronco said. It probably is a lot more interesting when you know a lot about it, which I do. Basketball is probably just as fun to watch as baseball for me. Then football is a step down, but still very enjoyable. I also like golf, but I also golf regularly. Tennis is bomb diggity as well, I enjoy watching that.

Obviously the sports I know the least about are pretty boring to watch. NASCAR sucks to me, as does hockey.

However, the re-occurring theme for me is that quality matters. MLB is my favorite sport, college baseball is not so good. NFL is better for me than college football. NBA vs. college basketball is a little tougher because the NBA season and playoffs are too long imo and breed to much apathy. But when played at the same intensity, NBA > NCAAB. Watching soccer for me is only enjoyable when quality of play is high. For example, I'll watch any premier league game, but MLS is super boring to me.

Baseball games are a blast to attend. The atmosphere of people hanging out, chowing down, the music, foul balls and homeruns...

TV does not have that so it doe snot hold my attention.

Where is pkm with his Doe Snot pic when ya need him

I had a hard time picking just one. I was confused between Golf, Baseball and Nascar.

I like playing baseball but find it boring to watch it.

I don't like watching Nascar, but do like to watch Formula One and car racing in general, so Golf was the last one standing.

Heh.

Edmonton, my hometown, is the curling capital of the world.

Why do you lose time with that when you have one of the most exciting sports ever as a national trademark?

I bet someone invented this curling in a psychotic episode caused by the offseason.

So if it was an 80 game season and they played 3x a week you'd watch every game?

I'll sit down and watch any football game. College, Pro even freaking high school when it's on. I only watch the Jazz in Basketball and less than half the time the last few years.
.
Football to me is far and away the best spectator sport. I have not missed a Broncos or Utes football game in over 10 years. I watched more complete games by the Broncos and Utes last season than the Jazz.

Does "Watching every NFL discussion digress into a fantasy football chat" count as a boring sport? If so, that's it.
