LMAO

He realizes he needs the money.

"The former couple have nine-year-old twin sons, for which Fisher agreed to pay $15,000 per month for in child support, as reported by TMZ. And when it comes to Derek and Candace, the two won't share any more children.

In addition, Fisher will be paying spousal support to Candace in the form of a whopping $109,000 per month." - TMZ on Derek Fisher's divorce

This country is a joke. He has to pay 1.488M of pre-taxed money per year despite being essentially retired.

Poor guy, making $4MM a year for 3.5 years after being fired from the Knicks. And a whole $1.5 has to go to his family. What a joke.

You realize he no longer has that job. And will have to continue to pay this money stated for what, another 13 years until the kids are probably out of college, and then continue to pay the far majority of that even after because his ex-wife, ya know, deserves to live off of what is basically 2M in salary a year for doing nothing.

I'm sure the settlement is based on his yearly income. I doubt it stays static after his cash-flow decreases.
