What's new

So I found Roger Miller's "Walkin in the Sunshine". . . . .. it's different from pop song I liked around 1994, this is indeed a very familiar song to me.

well, what a nice song to have at the 2900 mark.

I don't think we've finished with the appeal of sunshine. . . . .

My gf was a champion bronco rider;-)

my little brag is actually one of the more melancholy notes in my life.

yep. she rode the barrel races and was perhaps the nicest friend I ever had. I never even rode a horse. she came to my turf and skated with me. Go take a look at the Sun Bowl, and then drive up to St. George Blvd out to about 4th west. Used to be a skating rink in that domed business, upstairs. I managed that from 1968-70. Ron Nelson's Big Arch.

she died in a car accident in October 1972.

on a lighter note, I've been "Movin' on UP". I think I've got the #43 spot in the post parade, and maybe #24 in rep.

St. George has changed so much I just zip on through nowadays. Sometimes I'll stop to visit my brother. . . . . well, if he's not watching the Jazz in his basement. . . . . .

Wonder if I have any melancholy moments in my life? I'll have to reflect and consider.

nah. . . .. well, maybe with some exceptions. . . .. you seem to be all upbeat. Probably didn't even cry in your beer if you got a divorce?????

So here is a song I loved. Well, with a passion only a sixteen year old boy could really feel. . . .

and here's a comment from the link I heartily agree with:

I miss when, to be a female singer and get a record deal, you had to have actual SINGING ABILITY, presence, and emotion; not high heels, autotune, 2% body fat, choreography and questionable connections...Though it would be amusing to see ANY modern 'performer' attempt this besides Adele! XD
