time to reboot. Do we still have a rep page? rank? stats?
I have no rank at all..... well, except for sometimes seeming rank, I suppose.....
We have a page of "Notable Members" with oh about 20 members ranked in a few ways.... most posts, most likes, most points.... nothing I can use to record a shooting star performance trying to make a mark in the stats....
old post here. prophetic. Gold is pathetic. fightin' for a stand at $1200/oz. Silver about $14.50. Have gone nowhere, while stocks recovered and gained unprecedented highs.
Today I read David Stockman's ad for his newsletter. He's saying that we have a stock crash coming. Says "Sell Everything".
So here's my analysis today. The Trump Rally in Stocks is struggling to make the case for another little surge..... investors are hangin' it all on the China trade deal, flushing and wilting with every rumor.
Trump is makin' a deal for some strategic bits of "wall", willing to give folks in here already a stake in America, a deal for citizenship. The truth is, without the incoming people, our economy would tank. But we need to build production back in here for many essential goods. So we have to be competitive on labor costs, tax structures, investment returns. But most of all, what we need from the Chinese is their investment in here.... and proprietary and technical rights not violated in doing so. Good luck with all that.
The Swamp can't be drained, we're stuck with all that. But our business folks will find a way to hold on. Interest rates are locked where they are, can't go up, might go down. Housing bubble isn't going to just pop this year or next....which means interest rates kept right here, where business can get some good access for projects.
Gridlock is the word on the street.... but gridlock with low oil prices, high employment rates, people working and buying stuff, moderately. Means a few years of good times. Silver and gold are, in reality, not monetary assets in todays world, but commodities. With low oil prices and some relief on regs…. production will be strong. So no big run on prices up.
Next year, gold will be $1100/ox and silver will be $12/oz. The DJIA will be 27000. Housing prices will be nearly the same.

I would love to hear it. When I go without sleep for 96 hours I go insane, but my mind is racing so fast that I start creating things artistically that I am normally incapable of. I am as unartistc as anyone. I don't listen or hear music lyrics or the beat even, but when I go insane a song will pop into my head that I cannot place the name of or band on the same side, haven't heard the song for a decade but I somehow know every guitar riff, every trumpet chord, voice changes, everything.
It is not explainable to me how the mind can store such knowledge but not use it. If that makes any sense.
The mind stores patterns and the ability to reconstruct these patterns into images and sounds. So much so that sometimes we believe we are remembering exact details even though we are filling in the blanks ourselves.
A lot of variance built into the human race on the way the brain works. Good for us. There'll be someone who sees what needs doing when it can really help somehow.
One of the reasons state-run education is the wrong kind of education.

Your description sounds nothing like awareness during sleep paralysis(ASP). But if you want to hear Archie's description of his experience of the Old Hag phenomenon, he described it in detail in his Sleep Paralysis thread.

Some general observations. Awareness during sleep paralysis(ASP) is fairly common, and perhaps most of us experience it at least once in the course of our lives. It can be thought of as the body falling asleep, while the mind remains awake. Especially during REM sleep, when the motor functions are paralyzed to prevent physically acting out one's dreams.
Suffering from ASP to a chronic degree, lasting years, is far less common. It is mostly a phenomenon of youth, and generally fades away for older adults. I had it to a chronic degree from my teens into my 30's, at which point it became a far rarer occurance.
Generally speaking, it elicits a degree of emotional terror that can only be experienced to be appreciated. Most sufferers will agree it is hard to imagine a degree of sheer terror that could exceed ASP. This is quite evident if tou read Archie's experience of the Old Hag or witch, as he related in his Sleep Paralysis thread.
Despite its terrifying nature, it can sometimes be interpreted as a spiritual experience. This is because it often involves so-called Out of Body Experiences(OBE's). At times, these can actually be enjoyable, and some would interpret these as the extraction of an astral or emotional body from one's physical body. Or they can simply be seen as the hallucinatory experiences common to ASP to begin with. That said, it is easy to see why some would conclude they can use the onset of an ASP to initiate an OBE. It's a very common feature of the experience in general.
The Old Hag or witch interpretation of ASP can be traced to Scandinavian cultures. In our own era, it is quite evident to me that the so-called alien abduction phenomenon, so prevalent in late 20th-early 21st century Western culture, are, at least in many cases, a new interpretation of ASP in our own era of space exploration and UFO belief systems. To some degree, this seems to represent our own cultural interpretation of the age old phenomenon of ASP.

I read it, and thanks for the responses. Correct, o do not experience this. When I have a lucid dream I know I'm doing it and wake up. It's obnoxious and creates long, sleepless nights. When I have a nightmare I wake up when my mind tells my body I need to respond. For example, my most recent one was getting attacked by a swarm of yellowjackets. Luckily I smacked into the wall instead of falling off the bed trying to roll away from them.
It sounds like it sucks; sorry people have to go through that.
