I've been on the other end a few times so I know how they felt. Funny thing is, my assistant coach was actually keeping the game time (the other team didn't provide a referee). As time was winding down...actually it had expired...the other team had a throw-in near our goal. I told the AC to let them have a chance to play it. And they SCORED to make it 10-3, at which time we signaled the end of the match. It was a very positive way to end for both teams. An almost serendipitous decision on my part not to signal the end of the match on the side-out.
Wonder if my contract will be extended if my team finishes >.500?
