Is it the Chinese effect? The people showing up in food channels are left helpless against the Chinese farming products destroying the market. One farmer family member told the documentary that the Chinese chili arrives in for so cheap that half of the entire San Antonio chili (real chili) farmers went out of business and she threw the obvious "they are not real chili" conclusion. Chinese products really kill many markets in many countries, I was wondering if the congress you talked about might be connected to some Chinese benefactors, maybe indirectly.

There is no way to stop the cheap product affecting the market, because a good amount of people will always look for the cheapest without any other concern, because of the nature of the socio-economical pyramid.

water is necessary for life, more fresh water for land areas will expand the biosphere. However, the limiting economic factor is energy. Solar evaporators/fans/condenser coils are the cheap energy side, nuclear or fusion reactors the most efficient.

Not going to ever move up with just carbon fueled energy. Have to do safely engineered nuclear. LENR will be the revolutionary technology for the new human age.

I couldn't agree more. Luckily, it makes a world of difference to the person who holds the job. **** the world. Human survival is some scary ****, which becomes even more difficult if one is trying to satisfy the entire universe in his/her attempt to complete the task. Some can accomplish all that, kudos to them. I probably won't be able to give a hamburger to every starving child (why is it always starving children? Adults need food too) and it's unlikely that a single soul will read about me in a history book, but my desire to survive will always be with me. Examining stuff like this really brings out the animal/mammalian (is that a word?) qualities present in human beings.

Man's capacity for abstractions at first glance seems like one of the special "human" attributes that raises us above the animal world.

My cows do not worry about stuff like that much. Beyond a Mama's programmed behaviors to feed and protect her calf, and herd psychology, I don't see much thinking of an abstract sort.

We have ideas like "virtue", "duty", and "dedication" to beliefs of all kinds that shape most of our decisions in life. We deplore the elemental selfish, greedy, pleasure-seeking we see in others, and we feign virtues to create public acceptance.

AD I would surmise has been hauled in by some local communist ideologues and at least induced to peruse their lit. I don't think that's particularly different from Peeks soaking up some biblical publications from the local Baptists, or Kicky trying to fit in with his lawyerly liberal peers with progressive political views. It's something cows are just too smart to do.

Cows have superior practical sense in that they do in fact eat, drink and laze in the sun without any delusional notions like we all seem to need to be OK with ourselves, our neighbors and the cosmos.

Much like humans, however, cows do not prefer to be sexually assaulted.

I am a big fan of cows, and that is why I eat them. If somebody's going to eat my hamburger anyway, it's better that I do so rather than some person who has no appreciation for cattle. I include them in my diet to necessitate their existence. Overall, they don't have it too badly. They chill, have sex, get to talk with their friends all day, can eat as much as they want, and then they are killed. Sounds better than most human lives: struggle, struggle, struggle - death.

But I agree with every Hollywood actress, let's stop eating cows. They should be set free so every carnivorous wild animal can feast upon them and play a key role in their extinction.

On the other hand, cows make some excellent commercials. Maybe they can survive in the entertainment business.
